No. The card channel is lined and spring-tensioned, so cards sit flush without sliding against raw metal edges. The plate is machined smooth at every contact point — this isn't a stamped enclosure.

Is the RFID blocking actually real, or just a claim?

The aluminum shell itself is the shield — it's a material property, not a printed liner. It blocks the frequencies used by contactless skimming, tested against the standard ranges those devices operate in.

Will the elastic strap stretch out or snap?
