BARESILK

The dots
aren't your skin.
They're your razor.

BareSilk™ removes body hair at length, not at the surface — so it grows back soft-tipped instead of blunt. Eight minutes. One scrape. Nothing sharp.

  • 8-minute
    ceiling
  • Spatula,
    no blades
  • Soothing
    step included

The actual culprit

Blunt tips
cast shadows.

A razor slices hair flat at the surface. What's left is a thick, dark cross-section sitting just under translucent skin — that's the pepper-dot look, the shadow on your legs, the "I shaved an hour ago and it still shows." Every pass also scrapes the barrier: burn, bumps, ingrowns, darkening around the follicle.

  • Stubble shadow

Smooth to the touch, still visible at an angle. Blade-cut ends don't disappear, they just get shorter.

  • Razor bumps

Micro-abrasions inflame the follicle. Then the follicle darkens. Then you shave over it again.

  • The 3-day loan

Shaving buys you two, maybe three days — then hands the stubble back, blunter than before.

The 8-minute protocol

Three steps.
One is just waiting.

01

Spread — don't rub

Dry, clean skin. Lay an even layer with the flat edge of the spatula, thick enough to cover the hair. Your hands stay out of the chemistry.

02

Wait — and watch the clock

Five minutes for fine hair. Eight is the ceiling, not a target. Set a timer and respect it; longer does not mean smoother.

8MINUTES MAX
03

Scrape, rinse, soothe

Draw the spatula against the grain — hair lifts away with the cream. Rinse thoroughly with cool water, then finish with the soothing mousse while skin is still warm.

Step 00 — patch test a coin-sized area 24 hours before your first use. It takes a minute. Do it.

What changes

Smooth you can
see from an angle.

  • No blade contact

Nothing sharp touches the barrier, so there's nothing to nick, drag, or inflame.

  • Soft, taut finish

The mousse takes the flush down fast and leaves the surface soft instead of tight and stripped.

  • Longer between rounds

Removed lower down the shaft, regrowth takes longer to read on skin — and returns fine, not blunt.

What people report back

Notes from
the bathroom.

  • ★★★★★

The dark shadow under my underarms is what I actually wanted gone, and that's the part that finally went. Smooth from every angle, not just to the touch.

  • ★★★★★

Set a timer at five minutes for my first go and it was plenty. Scraped against the grain, rinsed, mousse on. Zero sting.

  • ★★★★★

Yes there's a faint chemical smell — they say so on the box and it's gone the second you rinse. Way better than the drugstore one I used before.

  • ★★★★★

Coarse leg hair here. Needed the full eight minutes and a couple of strays needed tweezing, but no razor bumps for the first time in years.

  • ★★★★☆

Lasts me about five days before I notice anything, and when it does come back it's soft instead of prickly. That's the real difference.

The spatula is the part I didn't expect to care about. Nothing on my hands, even coverage, and it scrapes everything off in one pass.

Four things we won't pretend

Read this
before you buy.

You will smell it

Hair-removal chemistry has a sulfur note. We've softened it and kept the contact time short. We haven't erased it — nobody has. Anyone promising odourless is selling something that doesn't work.

Eight minutes is a ceiling

Not a suggestion. Leaving cream on past the window is how people end up irritated. If hair is coarse, use the full eight and run a second session in three days — never a longer one.

One pass can leave strays

Hair doesn't grow at a uniform thickness, so the thickest few may hold on. Angle the spatula against the grain and tweeze the leftovers. That's normal, not a faulty tube.

Not for your face

This is a body formula — underarms, legs, arms, bikini line. Facial skin is thinner and needs a formula built for it. Skip broken, sunburnt or freshly waxed skin entirely.

Questions people actually ask

Straight answers.

How long does the smoothness last?

Longer than a shave, shorter than a wax. Most people get several days before regrowth is noticeable — and because the hair wasn't cut flat, what returns is fine-tipped rather than blunt, so the shadow doesn't come back with it.

Does it hurt?

No pulling, nothing sharp. Mild warmth or a faint tingle while it works is expected. Sharp stinging is not — rinse immediately with cool water if that happens.

I have sensitive skin. Can I use it?

Patch test first, without exception: a coin-sized area, 24 hours ahead. Start at five minutes rather than eight. Skip broken, sunburnt or freshly waxed skin.

Will it work on coarse hair?

Coarse hair needs the full eight minutes and a firmer scrape angle against the grain. Don't extend past eight to compensate — run a second session after 72 hours instead.

Shower or dry skin?

Dry, clean skin. Water thins the cream and stretches your timing, which is the fastest route to a disappointing result.

Is it permanent?

No, and we won't claim it. Nothing applied at home removes hair permanently. This removes it lower down and returns it softer, so the gap between sessions is longer and regrowth is far less visible.
